About Our Setup & Teardown Service
The hours before a tradeshow opens and after it closes are some of the most stressful in the entire event cycle. Crates are arriving, union rules are being enforced, exhibitor services deadlines are looming, and your marketing team is trying to get everything photo-ready before the doors swing open. At Tradeshow.show, our setup and teardown crews take that burden off your shoulders. We have assembled booths of every complexity — from simple pop-up banner displays and tabletop setups to custom two-story structures with meeting rooms, AV systems, and branded lighting — at every major convention center in the country.
Our crews are experienced at the venues where it matters most: the Las Vegas Convention Center, McCormick Place in Chicago, the Javits Center in New York, the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, and the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, among dozens of others. They understand venue-specific rules, union labor requirements, marshaling yard procedures, and show services protocols. This institutional knowledge means fewer surprises, fewer delays, and fewer frantic phone calls to your exhibit house on setup day. We coordinate directly with your exhibit builder, show services contractor, and freight carrier to ensure everything arrives on schedule and gets installed correctly.
Beyond physical assembly, our setup teams handle the technical details that can make or break your booth experience. This includes AV equipment installation and testing, monitor mounting, lighting programming, internet and power connections, furniture placement, and branded graphics alignment. We run through a complete quality checklist before handing the booth over to your team, and we are available throughout the show for mid-event adjustments, furniture resets, and inventory restocking. When the show ends, our teardown crews break everything down, pack it properly, and coordinate return shipping — all within the show-mandated teardown window.
We understand that setup and teardown is not glamorous work, but it is mission-critical. A booth that is not ready when the doors open means lost leads, a bad first impression, and wasted money. A teardown that goes poorly means damaged assets, shipping delays, and unexpected charges from the venue. Our crews treat every setup with the same attention to detail whether it is a 10x10 inline at a regional show or a 50x80 island at CES. That reliability is why brands like ours continue to trust us show after show, year after year.

Why It Matters
The Setup & Teardown Advantage
Stress-Free Show Days
Your marketing team should be focused on strategy and relationship-building, not wrestling with Allen wrenches and cable management. Our crews handle every physical detail so you can walk into a finished, photo-ready booth.
Protect Your Investment
Custom exhibits represent tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars in assets. Our crews are trained in proper handling, assembly, and packing techniques to protect your booth components and extend their lifespan across multiple shows.
On-Time, Every Time
We have never missed an opening bell. Our project managers build buffer time into every setup schedule and maintain backup plans for common issues like delayed freight, missing components, or last-minute booth changes.
Common Questions
Setup & Teardown FAQ
Do your crews handle union labor requirements?
Yes. Many major convention centers require union labor for certain tasks like electrical, rigging, and plumbing. Our project managers are well-versed in union jurisdictions at every major venue and coordinate directly with show services to ensure compliance. We schedule our crew activities around union labor to maximize efficiency and minimize idle time and cost.
Can you handle complex custom exhibits?
Absolutely. We have assembled custom two-story structures, hanging signs, interactive technology installations, and large-format LED video walls. For complex builds, we work directly with your exhibit house or fabrication partner and can even do a pre-show assembly at our warehouse to identify and resolve any issues before the on-site install.
What if our freight arrives late?
Late freight is one of the most common tradeshow headaches, and we plan for it. Our project managers track your shipments and maintain contingency plans. If freight is delayed, we prioritize critical components, work extended hours if the venue allows, and coordinate with show services to ensure you are ready to go. We have successfully recovered from late-freight situations at virtually every major show.
Do you stay on-site during the show for support?
We offer on-call support during show hours for mid-event needs like furniture resets, technology troubleshooting, inventory restocking, and minor repairs. For large or complex booths, we can station a crew member on-site throughout the show. This service is available as an add-on to your setup and teardown package.
